in Cambodia, even though it is one of the most popular ways of transportation and an important source of employment for Cambodian people in tourist towns such as Siem Reap.

Anjali children are picked up everyday from home and brought to Anjali House, taken from Anjali House to public school and back again and to the various extra curricular programs we have, as well as being taken home at the end of the day. We aim to purchase 15 bicycles to avoid this as much as possible. The support you offer will provide further safety to these children, provide them with a means to get around and keep them fit and healthy!


The Anjali young adult program

Many of our students dream about studying tertiary

level English, teaching, medicine, hospitality management, business management, photography, and engineering. We feel it is crucial to provide young adults at Anjali with support and guidance during their transition into the workforce. We aim to raise enough money to send each child to either university or vocational training college or to assist them in attaining apprenticeships with local tradesman. The young adults of Anjali House will also receive drug and sex education.

By contributing to the Anjali Young Adult Program, you will be directly supporting the teenagers of Anjali House in the pursuit of their dreams and plans for their future.


Books

Reading is an important part of education and development in children of all ages. Until recently, many

of the Anjali children had never read a book. Over the last years we could collect a small amount of books, mainly donated by our various volunteers and now stored in our small library. The kids now have weekly reading time where they get to read books and be read to by volunteers.

We aim to build an extensive collection of Khmer and English language literature covering all levels of literacy. We wish to acquire books on many subject areas including early English reading, children's picture books, non-fiction and science, physics, and geography texts.

Donate towards our sustainability and future

By choosing to donate to our urgent running costs, your contribution will go directly toward buying rice, fruit, vegetables and meat, clean drinking water, teaching materials, shampoo, soap and basic medical supplies.
In addition to these costs, we require funding for the long term maintenance and improvement of Anjali House. Donations will be put towards acquiring art supplies for workshops, purchasing new sports equipment, improving our bathing and toilet facilities and maintaining the condition of the centre.

• $80 feeds all children for one month (to ensure breakfast and luch for our children click here)
• $30 pays for hygiene products for all the kids for a month (to buy a hygiene pack for one child click here)
