Poems, Short Stories and a Movie - An Evening with Anjali House at the Peace Café
Our teenagers and young adults have just finished their creative writing pieces in a workshop tutored by Richard de Groot and Rhonda Jackson. Through a newly established forum on our website they received direct feedback from Sue Guiney, a UK author, whose latest novel 'A Clash of Innocents' is set in modern-day Cambodia and who established the workshops in March 2011 as part of our literacy program.
On 19th of June, we will proudly present the results at the Peace Café! The students will read their poems and short stories and we will launch the second issue of our magazine: 'Wonderful Writing - Imagination is the Best Power'.
To round up the evening, there will be a screening of the movie: 'The Stupid Chief and the Silly Man' - a project realised by our young adults in a 2010 workshop tutored by Trixie O' Sullivan and Jenna Hann.
You and your friends are cordially invited to join students and staff of Anjali House! We are looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, 19th June, 6:30pm at the Peace Café!
